EMT Clampon Pig Detector is used to provide confirmation of the movement of pipeline pigs through a pipeline. They are normally positioned at both the pig launching and pig receiving stations and at key points along a pipeline.

SN2-TQZ-BC020 Clampon Pig Detector is a bidirectional trigger pig signaler with a manual reset flag/manual reset switch, a carbon steel flange fitting, a 316L stainless steel plug assembly, and no extended shaft.
The digital display through the ball indicator is installed on the pipeline. When any kind of pig passes, the mechanical striker can be triggered, and the passing of the pig can be transmitted through the mechanical structure. An indication signal can be given when passing through the pig in both forward and reverse directions. Displays the passing time of the pig and transmits a switch signal far for the pigging process to control the operation of the pig. The display mechanism simultaneously stores and memorizes the passing times and time. Memory times: 99 times, automatically reset.

Precautions for installation and use
1. Do not hit the display window with heavy objects during installation.
2. This equipment has high-sensitivity detection for magnetic materials. Users should not use magnetic materials close to the sensor. (This includes items such as cell phones, screwdrivers, magnetized equipment, and tools).
3. The pigs that pass the test should have magnetic blocks (or electromagnetic transmitters). If there is no magnetic block, you need to install the magnetic block in the random accessories. Be careful not to collide with the pipeline at the installed position. It can be installed on the flange or in the middle of the pig frame.
4. This instrument can detect pigs with transmitters.

Long-distance pipeline forwarding pig operation
1. The switching operation between the forward-losing process and the Clampon Pig Detector
(1) According to the command of the dispatch center, prepare to dump the pig receiving process. Notify relevant stations and relevant posts. Fill out the operation ticket;
(2) Check that the relevant valves, transfer cylinders, pressure gauges, and pig passing indicators of the pig transfer system are intact;
(3) Put into use the pig entering the station and pass the indicator, and calibrate the time;
(4) Fully open the return valve of the forwarding cylinder of the pig and the inlet valve of the forwarding cylinder in sequence. Then check that there is no condensation in the forwarding cylinder and pipeline. Pressure appears normal. Then close the entry valve and reverse the receiving pig process;
(5) When the pig enters the station, the pig will alarm through the action of the indicator. If the staff confirms that the pig enters the receiver. Then the staff will record the time when the pig enters the station and report to the dispatch center;
(6) After the pig enters the station and reaches the specified delay time, all the entry valves are opened. Then the user closes the forwarding cylinder inlet valve and the forwarding cylinder return valve. Reverse the original oil transportation process.
2. Forward transmission process and transfer pig operation
(1) Ask the dispatch center for the time to send the pig. And according to the scheduling command, prepare to dump the pig and send the process. Notify relevant stations and posts, and fill in the operation ticket;
(2) Check that the relevant valves, transfer cylinders, pressure gauges, and pig passing indicators of the pig transfer system are intact;
(3) Put into use the pig exit pass indicator, and calibrate the time;
(4) Fully open the outlet valve of the forwarding cylinder and the power valve of the forwarding cylinder in sequence. Close the outbound valve, and the pig will alarm through the action of the indicator. When the pigs leave the station, record the time when the pigs leave the station;
(5) After confirming that the outbound alarm of the pig has reached the specified delay time, fully open the outbound valve. And turn off the power valve of the forwarding cylinder and the outlet valve of the forwarding cylinder in sequence;
(6) Slightly open the barrel return valve. Relieve the pressure in the pig transfer barrel. Then restore the original oil delivery process;
(7) Carry out a comprehensive inspection to confirm that there is no abnormality. Then report the departure time of the pig to the dispatch center and the next station. The pig send operation is complete.
Oil pipeline pig operation requirements
1. The speed of oil filling and exhausting of the transceiver should be properly controlled. To prevent “air hammer”, clean the air. Prevent air from entering the line to evacuate the oil transfer pump.
2. Where the pig passes through the valve. Before the operation, the limit switch should be adjusted to the maximum safe opening. Prevent the “ball stuck” and the wire brush of the pig from scratching the sealing surface of the valve.
3. The pressure changes at the inlet and outlet of the running oil pump should be closely observed. Also observe the operation status of the mechanical seal of the oil transfer pump to prevent the pig from breaking into the pump inlet. This can cause pump cavitation or low inlet pressure protection shutdown.
4. After the pig is sent out, the operating parameters of the sending station should be kept as stable as possible. If it is found that the operating parameters have changed, the time and parameters of the change should be recorded immediately. Then report to the dispatch center for timely processing.
5. The time the pig was sent out and the time to cross the intermediate station. This must be accurately recorded and reported to the dispatch center.
6. Before the pig is sent out, go down to the station to complete the receiving process;
7. During the pigging period, the pipeline should be kept running smoothly. It is not suitable to stop losing or operate frequently. The staff monitors and analyzes the operating parameters and changes of the pigging pipe section at any time.
8. It is not allowed to run two pigs simultaneously in the same pipe section.
