Indicator purpose:
- This product is usually installed at the end of the launcher. It can indicate whether the service is completed;

Digital Display Pig Signaller Workflow:
First stage:
Pigging operation is mainly on the premise of ensuring the normal gas flow control of pipeline pressure. It removes the liquid, impurities and corrosion in the pipeline by sending and recovering the pig device, to ensure the efficiency and safety of pipeline operation. And this is an operation process to prolong the service life of the pipeline.、
Measure the Digital Display Pig Signaller. The key device of pigging operation is the “pig”. The process of sending and receiving the pig and passing through the pipeline is the complete pigging operation process. Before the operation, the operator needs to measure the thickness and spacing of pig cups. Through measurement, we can calculate whether the interference of the pig meets the specification requirements and the wear degree of the pig before and after pigging.
Next, the operator installs the signal transmitter. Before cleaning the pipeline, we need to install a signal transmitter on the pig. In this way, the time of pig passing through the pipeline can be calculated. When the transmitter approaches the indicator, the indicator will alarm. Based on this principle, a passing indicator can be arranged on the ground above the pipeline to determine whether the pig passes. Then, the operator needs to open the launcher blind. After opening the blind plate of the launcher, grease the launcher and replace the sealing rubber ring. This is to ensure that the launcher does not leak after charging. Then we put the pig into the ball drum. These processes basically rely on manpower. A small pig can be held by one person and put into the drum. However, a large pig requires several people to lift it into the pig.
Second stage:
After putting in the Digital Display Pig Signaller, we close the launcher blind. Because some blind plates are deformed. Therefore, they need to adjust the angle and position at any time to successfully close the ball cylinder blind. Close the vent valve after closing the blind plate. Then we open the ball cylinder inlet valve for pressure charging, open the ball valve of the ball cylinder, close the balance valve, and close the main gas transmission valve. Through a series of process switching, the pig is sent to the pipeline.
The monitoring personnel will arrive 1 km in advance. When the pig is sent out from the ball cylinder, the launcher informs the monitoring personnel through the interphone to be ready for monitoring. When the pig passes through the detection point, the indicator will give an alarm, proving that the pig has passed 1km. After reporting the information to the dispatcher, the monitoring personnel immediately went to the next monitoring point to continue waiting for the pig to pass. Every trunk line is like this. 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, 10 km until 1 km before the pig passes the destination. This can confirm the location of the pig in real-time.
NOTICE:
Sometimes the detection will inevitably encounter inaccurate indicators. In addition to passing the indicator, the monitoring personnel will also adopt various methods such as listening on the cathodic protection pile and sitting on the ground to feel the vibration of the pipeline. These are used to ensure the accuracy of monitoring. Sometimes, at the same time, they will arrange multiple monitoring points in the front and back kilometers. This ensures that the position of the pig can be grasped.
After the pig successfully reaches the pig receiver, recover the sewage, take out the pig, take samples, measure the pig data, recover the process, etc. In this way, the pigging operation of a trunk line was successfully completed. Through the pigging operation, the accumulated liquid in the pipeline is removed to improve the pipeline transmission efficiency. These laid a good foundation for ensuring production in winter and gas supply in peak periods.

Third stage:
After the long-term operation of oil and gas pipelines, solid pollutants such as paraffin and rust and some liquid and semi-solid oil stains may be deposited on the inner wall of the pipelines. This will reduce the flow area of the pipeline. This will also affect the pipeline transportation capacity. Moreover, this solid dirt adheres to the inner wall of the pipeline for a long time and may accelerate the corrosion of the pipeline after complex chemical action. They will affect the safety performance of oil and gas transmission pipelines.
Therefore, the inner wall of the pipeline must be cleaned regularly. At present, the commonly used pigs for pigging mainly include rubber pig balls, foam pigs, leather cup pigs, etc. However, the tools used in pig receiving need professional technicians to operate. If you are a nonprofessional, you need to spend a lot of time learning the instructions and precautions. Moreover, even if the technical essentials are mastered, the problem of signal interference will also occur during use, resulting in the tracking failure of the pig.
